Welcome to the NCHS Counseling & Guidance Website.

Welcome to the Natchitoches Central High School Guidance home page. It is our mission to help students succeed in high school and beyond. There are three guidance counselors on staff as well as a very knowledgeable guidance secretary. Please feel free to peruse the site to find information about scheduling, TOPS, scholarships, ACT testing, summer programs, and more!

High school students take End-of-Course tests in six subjects: Algebra I, Geometry, English II and III, Biology and U.S. History. End-of-Course tests comprise 15% of the student’s final grade in the subject. To earn a standard high school diploma, students must earn a score of Fair or above on three End-of-Course tests, including one in each category – Algebra I or Geometry, English II or English III, and Biology or U.S. History.

In order for any student to be eligible for TOPS benefits, there must be a LOSFA signed consent form on file at Natchitoches Central High School which gives the school counselors permission to share your child’s data with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA) through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) and any postsecondary education institution(s) to which your child may apply. LOSFA must have your child’s personal information in order to track your child’s progress toward TOPS eligibility.
