Parent Involvement

Parents are an essential part to student success both in school and in life.  During the 2011-2012 school year we, the faculty and staff or Lakeview High School, are opening our doors and ushering in the parents!

Each family obligation is 10 volunteer hours for the year.  We will have 3 levels of volunteering excellences.  White is for 10-15 hours of volunteering; Orange is for 15-20 hours of volunteering; Green is for 20 or more hours of volunteering.

For each new level your family volunteer hours reach, there are rewards.  White level: Family passes to the sporting event (Max 5) 2-White shirts stating that you are white level members.

Orange level:  Gift certificate to eat at:  Sea-n-sirloin, Cane River, Lakewood Inn, or Captain Johns (one of your choice).  2 Orange shirts stating that you are orange level members.

Green level:  Either a season pass to a sporting event of their choice that will admit 2 (for the 2012-2013 season) or 2 free tickets to each sporting event for the 2012-2013 year.  2 green shirts stating that you are green level members.

You might want to coordinate with local business and have them help with the school as a way to fulfill your commitment.

If you have other ideas please bring them to our attention!  Any positive difference you can make at this school and in your student’s life is welcome and encouraged!

If you are unable to fulfill your commitment there is a ‘buy out’ option $10 per hour per family.  Even though this is an option, your participation and support is essential.

We appreciate your continued support!
